MRV fee (nonimmigrant visa application fee)

This is the application processing fee. It is paid before the interview and the consular schedule sets it by visa category. The schedule states it is per person.

22 CFR 22.1 - read on September 3, 2026

I-901 SEVIS fee

Applies to the F, M and J categories. It is separate from the MRV fee, paid separately, and its amount is set in 8 CFR 214.13.

8 CFR 214.13(b) exempts F-2, J-2 and M-2 dependents, and federally sponsored J-1 programs with G-1, G-2, G-3 and G-7 designations.

The 250 dollar visa integrity fee

Section 100007 of Public Law 119-21, of 4 July 2025, created a visa integrity fee, codified at 8 U.S.C. 1806. The statute sets 250 dollars for fiscal year 2025, requires an annual inflation adjustment from fiscal year 2026, and states the fee may not be waived or reduced.

Expedited B1/B2 appointment: 750 dollars

A Department of State temporary final rule created an optional 750 dollar fee to secure a B1/B2 interview appointment within ten business days at selected posts. It runs from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026 and is charged on top of the MRV fee.

Charged in addition to the standard MRV fee. Only at the consular posts the Department of State publishes, and in limited quantities. The rule text says an applicant who does not attend or who cancels forfeits this fee.

Reciprocity fee (visa issuance fee)

The consular schedule sets no amount for this fee: item 23 reads simply RECIPROCAL. The amount depends on the applicant's nationality and the visa class, and it is paid after approval. The table that sets it is the Department of State reciprocity schedule.

On that page, open the Visa Classifications tab: there is one row per visa class with the columns Fee (the reciprocity fee), Validity Period and Number of Entries.

About the local-currency conversion

The fees are set in dollars. The conversion the calculator shows uses the US Treasury reporting rate of exchange, with its record date. It is a reference, not the amount you will be charged: the consulate's payment provider applies its own rate on the day of payment and publishes the local-currency amount on its own site.

This market transacts in US dollars, so there is nothing to convert.
